Sneak peek at Modern Femme's new Series: Embracing Change

Change.  It’s a powerful word, evoking either a sense of possibility or of foreboding.  Some people thrive on it, and others would do anything to avoid it.  But at some point, everyone has to deal with change – whether it is taking a new job, moving to a new place, getting unexpected news, or adjusting to events affecting someone you love.  I am excited to announce that next week Modern Femme will kick off a new series entitled “Embracing Change.” 

The Embracing Change series will examine how Modern Femmes deal with change in their lives, as six different women who have either been their own change agents or have learned to make the best of life’s unexpected turns share their experiences with us.

Our first post will feature Adriane, a successful financial industry professional who decided to open an online stationery store.  Adriane’s work week consists of grueling 12 hour days, in an industry dominated by men, and not known for its flexibility.  Nevertheless, Adriane felt that she needed to bring new energy to her already busy life.  She opened The Goose and The Hound, an Etsy shop specializing in vintage wrapping paper, greeting cards and other paper goods.  In next week’s post, Adriane shares her thoughts on how she dealt with the challenges of starting up her store, how her marriage helped her entrepreneurship, and why it’s important to be flexible.

I hope this series helps us all to think about how we can welcome change into our lives, and hopefully inspires some of us to be the change we want to see!
