Weekly menus...Nigella Lawson's "Forever Summer"

This weekend I decided to cook out of Nigella Lawson's Forever Summer* cookbook.  (I absolutely adore Nigella.  Forever and ever, amen.)  Here, then, is the menu for the week of August 19, 2012:

  • Sunday Night Dinner: 
    • Pappardelle with zucchini, Marsala and pine nuts (FS page 32)
    • Picnic fried chicken (FS page 141)
    • Brownies
  • Monday
    • Saffron-scented chicken pilaf (FS page 143)
    • Grilled asparagus with roasted garlic
  • Tuesday
    • Black and blue beef (FS page 122)
    • Hasslebeck potatoes (FS page 151)
    • Salad
  • Wednesday
    • Short pasta with asparagus, lemon, garlic and parsley (FS page 41)
    • Grilled chicken breasts with french vinaigrette marinade
  • Thursday
    • Stir-fried steak with house marinade
    • Jasmine steamed rice
    • The Rainbow Room carrot and peanut salad (FS page 58)
  • Friday
    • Cook's night off!

* For some reason, it appears that Nigella's cookbook has been retitled "Nigella Fresh." To me, however it will always be "Forever Summer," since that is what mine is titled.
